Team Work in the Customer Contact Centre

One of my personal projects is looking after our vulnerable and elderly residents. I call them all once a year to make sure their heating and hot water is working properly.

Trudie Jacobs Customer Contact Advisor

I started in the Customer Contact Centre four years ago and I’ve never looked back.

As a member of the Customer Contact Team my role is varied - one day I could be answering calls and the next I could be greeting people at reception. It is hard to say what my daily routine is but one thing always stays the same and that is that I am there for the customer.

The Customer Contact Centre is all about team work. The phones are often very busy between 8.30am and 10am. As many of us as possible will solely concentrate on answering calls during this time to make sure callers are not kept waiting. Overnight we have an ‘out of hours’ team so I will also spend the morning taking over any urgent jobs from them.

One of my personal projects is looking after our vulnerable and elderly residents. I call them all once a year to make sure their heating and hot water is working properly. That’s why I love my job - you get to talk directly to the customer. You always have something to do and it is so rewarding when you know you’ve helped someone - the feeling you get when people say thank you is amazing!
